My client, based in the heart of Yorkshire within commutable distance to some of the most beautiful rural areas of the country, are a multinational and recognised leader in the design and manufacture of advanced automotive systems and a valued 1st tier supplier to global automotive car manufacturers, engine manufacturers, major off highway vehicle and truck manufacturers throughout the UK, Europe, North America and the Far East and Head Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working in partnership with this prestigious fortune 500 company.

As one of the worlds leading designers and manufacturers of these products this well established company now have a requirement for an Advanced Quality Engineer to be directly responsible for all NPI (New Product Introduction) activities and to be a key member of their quality engineering and NPI teams.

The successful applicant will be totally responsible for.

  • Coordinating the quality objectives through the pre-launch process and into manufacturing.
  • Managing the plants APQP framework, procedures and techniques such as FMEA, R & R (Repeatability & Reproducibility) analysis and process capability studies.
  • The compilation and on time delivery of PPAP submissions to customers.
  • Ensuring process validation is completed for each element of the APQP process
  • Applying the company’s strong commitment to quality engineering working with and alongside clients, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Travel throughout the UK and occasionally abroad.
